Biodanza is a dance-based integrative system that combines music, movement, and group interaction to promote self-awareness, emotional expression, and a sense of connection. It’s often described as a “Dance of Life” and is used for personal development, well-being, and social integration.

“Biodanza has been my one privileged go-to activity for the last 15 years. I gradually fell in love with the Rolando Toro system as also I got to feel the effective, transformative, and healing power of the vivencia – all the while sharing in groups dancing. I chose to train alongside friendly bods and with fab didactic teachers – so this combines my love of empowering people with doing something which I really love, and which keeps me fit & well.”

Biodanza’s guided ‘invitations’ (since participants choose to ‘enter the dance or not, at any point, to self-regulate at any level) are “deceptively simple” since a degree of general well-being is the main aim of any session, and – usually from the second deeper part of a session – any rich transformational moments – they are called “Vivencias” (in Spanish + Portuguese, so all over South America & Chile where this system was born) constitute an intended bonus, at any point. Carefully chosen specific music tracks capable of eliciting rich multisensory Vivencias.

In this sense, Biodanza is unique in as much as our music catalog has some classic pieces in its vast repertoire which are kept solely because they will still evoke such positive responses from our nervous system, from our heart & soul.

The Biodanza system can be described as unique, simply because we purposely hone in on eliciting ‘Vivencial’ responses which we first have experienced as trainees.
