Kum Nye Yoga is a subtle system of sensitive physical exercise techniques brought to the West by Tarthang Tulku based on traditional Tibetan healing.
It is mindfulness of body, feelings, breath, senses and mind: this is achieved through postures, movement, breathing techniques, self massage stillness and meditation;
which activate the flow of energy in the body and work together to develop vitality and balance.
Kum Nye develops our ability to heal and energize our entire being. The exercises are traditionally used for relaxation, self-healing and as a preparation for meditation.
It is easy to learn and practice on your own.
The classes will be suitable for all. Newcomers and more experienced practitioners regardless of physical ability or previous experience.
The classes will provide both an introduction to Kum Nye and an opportunity to practise it.
Bring loose layered clothes to keep warm and bring cushions and blankets. Kum Nye can also be done seated on a chair, on a zafu or on a mediation stool.
