Soul Midwifery: exploring the gifts of being alongside - Mandy Preece

Sitting alongside someone at the end of their life is an extraordinary and sacred event. Throughout the ages there have been those who have known how to comfort the dying, offering solace and care to help soothe pain and anxiety.

In this uplifting and inspiring workshop, Mandy will explore:

  • - What soul midwifery is
  • - The elemental stages of the dying journey
  • - How to be alongside someone and support them (including some holistic techniques to bring comfort)
  • - How those at end of life teach us how to live

About Mandy

Mandy Preece is a motivational speaker, communications coach and tutor at the Soul Midwives’ School.
In 2013 Mandy initiated a volunteer bedside companion scheme at Macmillan Caring Locally (a NHS palliative care unit).
In 2017 Mandy’s volunteer skills training was awarded the Princess Royal Training Award.
In 2019 she was awarded NHS Unsung Hero Volunteer of the Year.
