Hand in Hand Parenting is an emotion-focused parenting program that offers concrete tools to allow parents to put attachment
theory into simple, everyday actions.
It is especially helpful for families of children with challenging behaviours caused by difficult early experiences or trauma, as
it gives parents a way to set limits that strengthens and protects the vital attachment between parent and child.
Although must usefully learned and applied at a young age, we can also support our pre teens and teens by ~
Understanding how their emotions work
Learn simple listening tools to resolve 'off track' behaviour
Set limits effectively and with respect
Learn strategies that help your child feel confident and close to you
Strengthen your support system
