Alpha brainwave state is achieved very quickly and is followed by the Theta brainwave state.
"I didn't know where I was, who I was or what I was doing but I felt safe, content and energised.
The sound journey was amazing, my whole body tingled and could feel the sound moving through it.
The sound took over me and I felt part of it. I felt disembodied – my arms floated off in the sound".
About Craig Winterburn:
My name is Craig Winterburn, I went to Manchester Met. Uni.in 1994, studying arts in the community and I have been practicing as a coach and teacher ever since.
A musician and community artist working in and around Manchester, I am also an accomplished Samba, African and contemporary drummer.
With more than 20 years of teaching experience I have previously been involved in delivering drumming workshops at many festivals, and to numerous community groups,
including those communities at risk of isolation. I am also a multi instrumentalist that incorporates singing, guitar, harmonicas, composer and all round sounds traveller.
Having recently paired up with Mindfulness practitioner Natalie Hewett, it was Natalie that suggest I explore the gongs for our collaborative workshops in Mindfulness, Rhythm and Sound.
As well as other directions Natalie has guided me into, or away from, I have this to thank her for too.
Now having fully immersed myself with the gongs and sound healing journeys, I trained with Martyn Cawthorne and the northern school of sound-smiths and the International Practitioners of Holistic Medicine and insured through Westminster to practice. I take great pride in bringing my experience with compassion to each and every session I lead.
There will be 3 private slots per day at Sun and Moon for a sound healing journey that last 30/35 minutes each, with the suggested donation of £25 per session.
So why not immerse yourself in the exotic sounds and frequencies of this ancient practice that may lead you into meditation, later feeling massaged from the vibration, relaxed yet energised.
