The Dance of Awareness is a free-flowing approach to dance, movement and consciousness in which we are able to explore our connection to ourselves and the world around us. When we move and dance with awareness, we experience our true nature of being, our heartfelt desires and release patterns or habits that no longer serve us. Feeling into the body and allowing the mind to rest brings us into our felt sense from where we can touch our innate wisdom and joy.
We dance to explore, express, release and connect, and to come home to ourselves. It is a joyful exploration of what it is to be in a body and to move from inner awareness.
There are no steps to learn, no definitive outcomes, just the great exploration of discovering the dancer within you.
The DoA will be led by Louise Burt and Nick Neter
Since September 2009 I have been working full time as a Shiatsu Practitioner and Qigong Teacher.
I studied at the Zen School of Shiatsu in London and at The Shiatsu College, Hastings and recently gained a B’Sc Hons at the University of Brighton in Multidisciplinary Healthcare. In 2014 I co-founded and helped to build the Well Being Centre near Eastbourne, an environmentally friendly and holistic health centre for complementary and transformative healing work, in all its forms, on the edge of Pevensey marshes. I have enjoyed working at numerous festivals over the years, including Glastonbury and Elderflower Fields and have been fortunate enough to co organise Retreats in Greece every year for the past 6 years.
I believe that Shiatsu, Qigong and Meditation have the ability to transform lives, in creating deeper understanding and new awareness on all levels of our being, and enables us to touch the divinity in all of us!
