Contemporary Dance: Freedom to move, feel and connect - Lewis Wheeler

Contemporary dance draws on a rich heritage of classical and modern dance forms, but places the expressive dancer at the centre of the practice,
rather than just contorting them into prescribed shapes and forms.

In these classes we will begin with fundamental principles of alignment, weight, breath and economic movement pathways and work from these
to create expansive movement where body, soul and mind synchronise to create expressive and flowing dance.

We will also play movement 'games' to spark the imagination, have fun and to connect more closely with each other.

The classes will be suitable for complete beginners as well as for those who have dance experience or other movement practice experience.

These workshops are suitable for: Young teens, Teens and Adults
